Social Media impacts search rankings by the links that are generated from posts on such SMM sites as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. The more postings a link (like your website address) receive, the better it performs in search rankings on those search engines! In other words, the more links you have out on the internet, the higher your ranking on the search engines.
So when posting on SMMs, a link should be included in your post! And of course it should be a link to a web site page that contains the info you want to promote! The more postings in internet-land containing that link, the more attention that page gets from the search engine crawlers! So posting to SMMs are useless for rankings unless a link is included in the post!
The search engines all have ‘favorite’ SMM sites that they reference for matching links! Some favor Twitter, some favor Facebook, some favor other SMMs! Therefore, this requires posting EVERYWHERE you can!
